ABOUT
Krit Komkrichwarakool is an award-winning Thai-Canadian director/writer based in Vancouver BC. Originally from Bangkok, Krit earned a degree in Communication Design, then moved to Canada to pursue a career in film. Integrating his knowledge of design with his approach to filmmaking, Krit brings a unique point of view to his storytelling.
His notable work includes AUGANIC, which won the "Best Live Action Short – Academy-Award Qualifying Category" at the deadCenter Film Festival and was an official selection at the Palm Springs International ShortFest; PLANTONIC, which premiered at the Inside Out Film Festival and won "Outstanding Short Film" at the Reelworld Film Festival and "Best Screenplay" at the Vancouver Short Film Festival; and FREEFALL, which won "Best Director" at Moscow Shorts and was nominated for "Best Short Film" at the 2018 Leo Awards.
